Success Story – Infinity Air
When Ray Soto, the HR Director of Infinity Air, came to the company, the human resources department was chaotic at best. Based in California and with offices in Washington and Florida, Infinity Air provides maintenance and support to the airline industry. RAY SOTO (Human Resources Director) —
Before Total HR came on board, the HR process was being managed in house by our purchasing manager, who has no HR training, and by several executives. The HR process was parceled out with 4 or 5 different people doing different things: One payroll, one discipline, one hiring. As you can imagine, it was a difficult situation and quite unorganized.
Right away, Total HR offered a lot more services than any of our previous providers. They offered so many services that our former Vice President didn’t really understand how vast the services of Total HR were and how much they could help the company. When I came on board and met with Total HR’s CEO James Harwood, that’s when we discovered how many services Total HR offered. They were hired not only because they offered the best in payroll services, but also because they offered legal assistance, they offered all kinds of discipline tips and guidelines that this company really needed. Total HR was willing to consult with us and help out with HR problems across the board.
A unique aspect of the relationship is that if there’s a problem with communication between Infinity Air and Total HR or if there’s a payroll problem or an insurance problem, the Total HR CEO James Harwood will personally come down here and address the issue. And James has brought a staff down here with him. If he feels there’s a big challenge to address, he’ll come down here with a small staff to make sure we’re covered and our needs are met. To that end, James has been very, very effective in solving any problems that have arisen.
I’ll call James and I’ll say have you ever heard of this before and then we’ll just talk about it for a while. What is unique is that Total HR promises and come through with a real personal approach. James and the Total HR team have much more experience at HR work than I do. When I have a pressing problem, I know I have a team of experts that I can go to; their resources are vast and effective. I truly believe that any HR Manager would profit from having outsource services as vast and effective as Total HR.
On account of the size of Total HR — even though they have vast resources and cover states across the country — they are present and personal. They are immediately available when I need help. I feel comfortable calling James because I know he will respond. I feel very confident with their services and I would hate to lose Total HR. We talked recently about possible business cuts on account of the tough economy and we put all the vendors on the table. But we were completely opposed to putting Total HR on the table. As opposed to costing us money, James and the Total HR staff provide a personal approach with a vast array of services, saving us time and providing effective solutions.
