Before joining Total HR Management in a business development capacity, Rod Pierce was the co-founder of Compass Acquisition Partners, LLC. Rod’s work focused on the overall growth of the business and the structure of each acquisition. In addition, Rod launched HealthShield Staffing Associates, LLC, a staffing agency with a focus on the pharmacy sector. Rod’s extensive experience with performing due diligence has given him the ability to target effectively the HR needs of small and mid-sized companies.

Rod’s tenure as a Principal and Senior Vice President with boutique investment banking firm Creso Capital Partners in Newport Beach, California, afforded him a steady flow of quality acquisition opportunities. Rod successfully helped build Creso Capital Partners into a major player in the funding and acquisition of privately held companies that ranged in size from $10MM to $150MM. Through these experiences, Rod developed an in-depth understanding of the middle market that is a great benefit to the Total HR team.

Other positions held during his career include Vice President for USI Holdings, a publicly traded insurance group focused on the commercial market; Associate Vice President of Development for City of Hope; and, Field Director for U.S. Senator John Seymour, R-CA. Rod holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science from San Diego State University. Most recently, Rod was honored to accept a nomination as a board member of the Child Abuse Prevention Center of Orange County.
